Our mission
Decap CMS exists to give publishers, editors, and developers a content system they can own. The project is built around a simple idea: your content should stay in your repository, your workflow should stay flexible, and your team should not have to trade independence for a usable editing experience.
How the project is maintained
Decap CMS is a free and open-source project maintained in the EU with contributors from around the world. Core maintenance and long-term product direction are led by independent Decap maintainers, with community contributors helping improve the CMS, documentation, and ecosystem.
We keep governance lightweight and practical: discussion happens in the open, source code lives on GitHub, and the public roadmap is shaped by community feedback, maintenance priorities, and partner-backed investment in the project.
